Popularly known as Ram Dass, Richard Alpert was an American spiritual leader, author, psychologist, and teacher. His journey of becoming ‘Ram Dass’ from Richard Alpert is quite interesting. In the 1960s, during his travel to India, his search for spirituality led him to Hindu guru ‘Neem Karoli Baba’. He served as his disciple and transformed into a Hindu guru.
