George Washington Facts

Born 1732 in Virginia, British America

Died 1799 in Virginia, United States of America

His cause of death was identified as ‘Epiglottits‘ which is inflammation of the epiglottis, preventing food from entering the windpipe.

Washington was the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797. He was succeeded by Vice President, John Adams.

He was One of the founding fathers of the USA alongside other key figures such as John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay and Thomas Jefferson.

Interestingly enough, George Washington was not a signer of the declaration of independence

George Washington has no biological kids, he did however adopt two children (John and Patsy Curtis) after marrying their mother Martha. There is almost no conclusive evidence as to why George and Martha had no kids of their own.
