Clive Staples Lewis, or C.S. Lewis, was born in Ireland on November 29, 1898. He was a writer and lay theologian who held academic positions in English literature at Oxford University and Cambridge University, both. He has written many bestsellers, including The Chronicles of Narnia, The Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, The Problem of Pain, etc.
