Malcolm X, a.k.a. Malcolm Little and el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz because he completed Hajj to Mecca. He was an African-American Muslim minister and also human rights activist who popularized the civil rights movement. In 1964, he renounced the Nation of Islam publicly and grew disillusioned with its leader, Elijah Muhammad. After that, he founded Muslim Mosque, Inc. and the Organization of Afro-American Unity.
