Sheryl Sandberg was born on August 28, 1969, in Washington, D.C. She’s the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, founder of Lean In Foundation, and best-selling author of Lean In Women, Work, and the will to lead. She became the eight-member and the first woman of Facebook’s Board of Directors.  

Before becoming the COO of Facebook, Sandberg was the vice president of global online sales and operations where she grew the sales team from 4 people to 4,000. Before that, she served as the chief of staff for the United Secretary of the Treasury.
